For a teacher of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), it is important to stay up to date with research and techniques in this ever expanding field.
Get help, support and tailored ideas for your students from Autism NT.
An Autism diagnosis is not needed, we are happy to support children with autistic traits pre-diagnosis, through their diagnosis and with an ASD co-morbid diagnosis.
Come and meet teachers who are committed to improving their skills in dedicated education professional only evening events.
Discuss how ASD impacts the classroom with other professionals, and gain support, insights and information about what techniques and strategies have worked in other schools and settings.
Teacher feedback has demonstrated that this program promotes improvements in:
enhancing positive education experiences for both the child and teacher
increasing confidence in engaging ASD children
Guest speakers such as OT’s and speech therapists
The group understands that teaching one child on the Autism Spectrum means that you have taught one child on the spectrum. Each child is different, with a different level of need under the umbrella of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
